About:

The University of Michigan Blockchain Club is a student group run by the current students and alumni of the University of Michigan. We are focused on providing students with the knowledge and opportunities to engage with the blockchain industry through governance, investment, and industry consulting projects.

Experience:

Delegate for UNI, ARB, COMP, OGN, SD

Delegate Platform or Philosophy:

Our philosophy revolves around the principles of community engagement and informed decision making, based on the long term growth of the protocols we participate in. We leverage the most enthusiastic blockchain students at the university. Our delegates go through an education program that gives our members the foundational layer of knowledge to make educated decisions. As a club, we vote with the purpose of growing a cohesive blockchain ecosystem and ensure that our votes reflect the consideration of our entire governance team.

Conflicts of Interest:

Given our involvement with multiple blockchain protocols as delegates (Uniswap, Arbitrum, Compound, Origin Protocol, and Stader Labs), there may be instances where interests overlap. Additionally, our members may engage in professional relationships within the blockchain industry that could pose potential conflicts.

Policy for Handling Conflicts of Interest When They Arise:

If our organization has a conflict of interest due to personal/professional conflicts or proposals we have voted on through our other delegation, we will opt out of voting (or vote ‘abstain’ if available) and state conflict.
